What is LeeterBoard?

LeeterBoard is a university contest leaderboard that gathers LeetCode contest data and categorizes participants based on their universities. Our platform allows you to filter rankings by institution, track performance relative to peers, and compare standings across universities.

Our motivation stems from the idea that seeing rankings at a university level could enhance the competitive spirit of coding contests. By providing visibility on how students perform within and across institutions, we aim to promote motivation and engagement in competitive programming on LeetCode.

How It Works

LeeterBoard gathers user contest rating data on a weekly basis, ensuring that our rankings are updated frequently. Additionally, we work to gather as many new students as we can every single week by ensuring that users new to the contest scene are factored in as well.

MMR Rank Badges

Our MMR (Matchmaking Rating) system categorizes universities into different tiers based on their average contest rating. Each tier is represented by a unique badge that showcases the university's current standing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often is data updated?

Our leaderboard is updated after each LeetCode contest, typically on a weekly basis.

How are universities scored?

University contest ratings are determined by calculating the average contest performance of all students affiliated with that institution.

Why is my profile not on the site?

There are several reasons why you might not appear on LeeterBoard:

  • Contest participation: You need to have an official LeetCode contest rating on your profile for you to be factored into our calculations.
  • Profile requirements: Your LeetCode profile must include:
    • A country code set to US
    • Your university name in the school field
  • School name matching: We use fuzzy matching to connect profile entries with standardized university names. If your university is misspelled or uses an unofficial name variant, our system may not recognize it.
  • Recent additions: If you've just updated your profile correctly, please allow up to one week for our system to include you in the next data refresh.
Why is my university not listed on the main page leaderboard?

Your university may have less than 5 students recognized on our site. We only display universities with at least 5 students on the main page for fairness reasons. For example, it would be unfair to rank a university with 1 student having a super high average over a university with 100 students with varying averages.

Does LeeterBoard have any official affiliation with LeetCode?

No, LeeterBoard is an independent platform that processes publicly available contest data. We are not officially affiliated with LeetCode.
